One response to “How to Write Anything and Get PAID For It”

I am an amateur photographer in South Africa who’ just been made redundant after 11 years from a pay TV company. I’ve always been interested in family /parenting magazines and how close to my heart such articles are. (I got divorced 19 years ago when my kids were only 3 and 4 years old.)

I figured I could quite easily supply such industries and publishers with worthwhile decent, article oriented images. That was till I saw how competitive and saturated Stock Photography market is. But I’m still keen on giving it a go and thought I’d ask sites such as yourselves a few helpful directions.

Will you help me ? :

1).Which do you deem the most repeated articles these (Parenting) magazines have from month to month ?
on an annual basis I’ve isolated Winter Sniffles, School Bullying, Sibling Rivalry. Single parenting, Teach Your Toddlers to Help and an extended list in this vein.

2). Do you know what publishers in the industry pay for domestic imaging of families ?
from a host of websites and Blogs I’ve scoured I’m now even more confused and frustrated.

3). Are publishers necessarily against a guy/dude/male contributing toward such reading images/matter ?
the neg perceptions I’ve picked up might just be local. I’ve since started thinking that maybe it should be
packaged in a different light ( I was going to call my website IMAGES OF YOUTH).

4). What would be the best way to start find publishers and writers ( a database ) who’d definitely be interested?

From the experiences of Moms on your site it’s most encouraging to see how we can follow what we dream of and at the same time provide helpful learning for other parents too.

I look foreward to your reply and would also like to know what I could provide your site with
    in the future.

    Thank you and kind regards,
    Michl Hartnick
